Rav Kav-Bus Card

If you’re visiting Israel and plan to use public transportation, the Rav Kav is your key to getting around. This special card is the only way to pay for buses, trains, and the light rail. Here’s how to get one, use it, and make the most of your travels.

What Is A Rav Kav?

The Rav Kav is a reusable card that you’ll need to pay for public transport in Israel. It’s used for travel within and between cities. You can load it with money or travel passes, and eligible passengers like seniors or children can get discounts. But be sure to charge your card before you travel because you can’t pay onboard.

How To Get A Rav Kav.

There are two easy ways to get a Rav Kav:

Online:

Visit Rav Kav Online (in Hebrew) and follow the steps to upload your ID (like your passport), a photo, and any documents for discounts (if you’re eligible).

There’s no cost to get a Rav Kav this way.

In Person:

Go to a Rav Kav service center with your passport and any documents for discounts.

These centers are in bus and train stations, malls, and other central spots. Check the Egged website for the full list of locations.

You can also buy an anonymous Rav Kav at any Rav Kav office. This type of card doesn’t allow discounts and can’t be replaced if lost, but it’s quick to get.
